Bokmakierie B & B is a spacious old home offering guests three double rooms with en suite shower facilities. Fans in the high-ceilinged rooms help to overcome the heat of summer but winter is red wine weather with the Esse stove in the kitchen, a fire in the lounge and electric blankets or hotwater bottles in the beds. The walls of the passage are lined with Peter’s naïve art and, without too much encouragement, he will introduce you to the characters that he uses in his paintings. There is safe, off-street parking and a separate guest entrance from the parking area. Oregon floors and pressed ceilings in the lounge and diningroom, antique furniture and many items of interest will make Bokmakiere B & B a place to remember.

Bokmakierie Guesthouse is a spacious home that offers three double rooms with en-suite shower facilities. The view from our veranda is over the village to the surrounding mountains. You can walk around the village, climb the mountain or choose a hiking trail on a nearby farm, or just relax, read a novel or unwind and recharge. Facilities for golf, tennis and bowls are available. There is game viewing in the area and farm walks to view rock art can be arranged. Deon and Gregg purchased Bokmakierie Guesthouse to allow our innate passion for people, food, service and story-telling to gain expression. Having lived for many years in the cosmopolitan city of Johannesburg, Bokmakierie Guesthouse and the beautiful surrounds of the southern Free State has unleashed our creativity, sense of purpose and desire to offer guests a haven of tranquillity to pause at, recharge and then to continue. Bokmakierie Guesthouse offers delightful breakfasts which are inclusive of the daily tariff as well as creative 2-course or 3-course evening dinners (offered to our overnight guests by prior arrangement), which pack a punch of flavours using local ingredients, within a relaxed ambiance around our communal table and crackling fireplace. Luxury rooms offering en-suite shower facilities with comfortable beds containing crisp white percale linen. The rooms are coloured in soft grey tones which provide a relaxed, light and airy feel. All rooms are tastefully decorated with modern furniture pieces alongside antiques. Art pieces from the owner's private collection are displayed strategically across the walls. When enjoying our rooms you are greeted with infused scents of ginger and white tea which leave our guests feeling rested and rejuvenated. En-suite bathroom with a shower, hand basin and toilet. Rates are deemed correct at time of publication and may fluctuate depending on supply and demand. Establishments maintain their rates online and any differences should be referred to the Establishment's staff. All credit cards are accepted when paying through Sleeping-OUT. We did take a detour to do the Molteno Pass as well as Loxton and were pleased that we followed your advice.
